Our blogging is changing

We hope our readers have been enjoying our blogs; we love touching base with our customers and hearing your thoughts on our musings. We’ve decided it’s time to change things up a bit, and so, from August 2019, we’ll be introducing a theme for each month’s blogs. This should allow us to go a bit more in depth to a certain topic and explore things from different angles. We hope you like the new set-up!

Our theme for August will be busy lives: how we can all make more time for ourselves, despite the demands of work and home routines. As our responsibilities grow, it can become harder and harder to break the cycle of work, eat, sleep, repeat. Here at AG Sports, we want to help to shine a light on how you can break that pattern and make time for yourself and your hobby of choice. Whether you’re kept busy by family, work, travel, volunteering (or a combination of any of the above!), we all know how important it is to get some precious ‘me time’.

We are excited about the new themed format of the blogs, and hope you’ll enjoy our launch month. We want to really get to grips with the subject, in particular looking at why making time for you and your hobbies is vital for a happy existence. We will be talking about:

  • Busy lives and mental health: why making time for you and your favourite pastime is so important for keeping your mental health in check. Maybe you’re really creative, but can never find the time, or perhaps you are really into exercise, but your gym kit is gathering dust in the corner. Whatever the hobby, we can all get consumed by the cycle of ferrying kids to school and clubs, work, endless emails, running the house and trying to make sure everyone is fed and watered. But research shows that failing to break this cycle can impact on our mental health. Making time for yourself is really important in order to ward off stress and depression, and to boost your self-esteem as well.
  • Busy lives and your physical health: why inactivity can cause all sorts of problems down the line, such as obesity, heart conditions and type 2 diabetes. We have all sorts of tips for you on how to incorporate exercise into even the busiest of routines.
  • Busy lives and how we can help: at AG Sports, we love all things active, and it gives us a buzz when we help people get back into exercise, or try something new for the first time. Our garments are all designed to make exercise comfortable and to help you perform at your best. With our base layers, which are designed for maximum comfort and peak performance, many people find that getting back into exercise is easier and more enjoyable than they had anticipated. And sometime kitting yourself out is part of the joy of the experience too!

See you in August!
